Although Yumi started growing just recently a bit, we are here on Guild Wars 2 for quite a while. So what is the idea behind our guild? Well. To answer that question I will tell something about myself. I started Guild Wars 2 always with a goal to lead a guild someday, and in my five guilds I had back then, I was instated an officer role in all of them and that proofed myself my leadership. Though I was looking forward to hosting my own guild I had to learn the basic principles of the game and after a couple of five years I decided to rule my own guild called Yumi.
Now I get a lot of questions why yumi, why cute or adorable? This takes me back to my first years when the internet first was thriving and I played a korean third person shooter called "GunZ" I co-leaded a clan there called Spiffy but that clan was originally named Yumi. Our slogan always been "cute and adorable" and I transfered that slogan into our guild in Guild Wars 2 out of nostalgic reasons. Unfortunately I lost contact with my old clan members but I always kept our experiences to something I cherish all my life, and am proud to be a mischievous guild leader of my favorite game Guild Wars 2.
I'll be honest. The game and me, exist for a while and I made steps and mistakes.
For about three years we had a maximum of 50 members until I decided to expand.
We had suffered treason, rage, bans and toxicity but survived into a NSFW safe friendly, helpful and motivated guild.
Ranks. right?
We only have three ranks, leader, officer (divided into two titles) and member.
Originally I founded the guild with a goal in mind to be cutesy and adorb, and still be a little evil.
We had seven ranks back then, based the number of the biblic seven sins. After a long time of demoting and promoting members on activity, repping and experience I decided to minimize the ranks to these three because I see potential in everyone and don't want to punish members for anything they want or don't want to in-game.
(Of course not following our basic rules results in infraction and possibly a ban)
Let's keep it light, respectful and don't cuss too much!
I'm really happy to have all of you to support our guild and creativity.
Looking forward to future fashion contests and other events!
Let's take a look at our old guild hall in "The Lost Precipice" wich I decided a bit later after End of Dragons released to change into the new Canthan guildhall. ...GOOD TIMES! (17) [Yumi] | The Cute and Adorable | Guild Hall (OLD) tour! - YouTube
We still have a long way to go but I appreciate the effort! (If you read everything till here, WOW! thank you for your dedication (and attention span :p).
Let's grow and show Tyria what we are made of!
